Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Steinway Fund
Help Us Bring a New Steinway Model D to the Meyerhoff
As the Baltimore Symphony continues to present the world’s leading artists, we are committed to providing them with a concert instrument of equal excellence. Today, we are falling short of that standard.
It has been more than 25 years since the Orchestra last upgraded its piano collection. With the help of Steinway & Sons and generous friends like you, our dream of acquiring a new Model D Concert Grand Piano for the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall can be realized.
Thank you to our early supporters: Rick Berndt, Members of the 2025 BSO Academy Class, Robert and Ruby Hearn, Joy Mandel and Timothy Nehl
We need $250,000 to bring a new Steinway Model D to the Meyerhoff.
We’ve already raised $100,000 and are now focused on finishing the job by raising the final $150,000 this year.
Every Steinway is crafted from more than 12,000 parts. You can help us bring this extraordinary instrument to life by “purchasing” a symbolic piano part or key. Your gift will help us raise the remaining $150,000 needed this year to complete the fund.
